We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly dental practice in Newport, United Kingdom. Responsibilities
* Assist dentists, hygienists, and therapists during various dental procedures
* Prepare the dental surgery for patient treatments, ensuring cleanliness and organisation
* Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment
* Provide chair-side support, handing instruments and materials to the dental professional
* Ensure patients are comfortable and at ease throughout their visit
* Record and update patient information accurately in our practice management system
* Assist with reception duties, including answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
* Participate in ongoing training and development programmes to enhance your skills and knowledge
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and infection control procedures
* Contribute to maintaining a positive and welcoming environment for patients and colleagues
Qualifications
* GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above (essential)
* Genuine interest in healthcare and dentistry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong team player with a collaborative approach
* Ability to deliver outstanding patient care with empathy and professionalism
* Detail-oriented with good organisational skills
* Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills and procedures
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Basic computer skills for managing patient records and appointments
* A friendly and enthusiastic attitude towards patients and colleagues
