Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 3 motivated, enthusiastic and experienced, patient focussed Administrators to support the county-wide Memory Assessment Service – (East, Mid and West ICAs).
The post holders will be expected to exercise initiative, independent judgement and decision making within situations arising from their duties to ensure an effective high-quality administrative service.
Essential skills for this role include excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to perform efficient diary management, planning and organizing of own workload and work on own initiative is also an essential requirement. Along with an excellent knowledge and working experience of using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
The post holders should demonstrate a caring and sensitive approach to their work and be able to clearly communicate with colleagues, patients, carers and general members of the public and representatives of other organisations, demonstrating an empathetic approach.

Main duties of the job
The post holders will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive high quality secretarial and administrative service to the Memory Assessment Service (MAS) clinicians and will play a central role within the provision of services.
The post holders will be required to exercise initiative, independent judgement and decision making within situations arising from their duties to ensure an effective high-quality service.
To co-ordinate appointments, booking rooms in a variety of settings across the designated area.
The post holders will be required to use a variety of Trust in-house computer systems and provide a high level of customer care.
The post holders should be able to work with minimum supervision and will be required to use initiative, planning and prioritising of own time in a busy and challenging environment. A professional and flexible approach and attitude is required along with honesty, integrity, and discretion. The post holders must deliver a patient focused approach and respect the privacy, dignity, religious and cultural beliefs of others and always display the highest levels of confidentiality and have an open attitude to change.
The MAS Administrators will be expected to work with the wider administration team in designated area.

Skills and Aptitude
* Good written communication skills including spelling, grammar and attention to detail
* Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
* Diary management skills
Knowledge and Abilities
* Ability to relate and empathise with patients, carers, and members of the public
* Ability to understand and follow procedures
* Knowledge/experience of RiO system
Education/Qualifications and Experience
* RSA III/OCR III Word-Processing/Typing/Text Processing or equivalent qualification or experience
* GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification
* NVQ 3 Level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Service or relevant equivalent experience
* Experience of providing administrative support within a healthcare setting
* ECDL Computer skills or equivalent qualification
