We would not be able to do what we do without our dedicated Manufacturing experts! A huge part of our success is our successful Senior Operations teams across our manufacturing sites. We’re now looking for an experienced Group Head of Manufacturing to take the Operations team to the next level of efficiency and effectiveness. This role is integral to delivering Tayto’s future growth and in ensuring the business’ objectives are met.
About the role:
Reporting directly to the Group Operations Director, you’ll take full responsibility of all manufacturing operations which includes our 5 site Managers, Group Health & Safety, Engineering and Capital projects, a headcount of circa 1200 employees across our 5 sites.
You will drive continuous improvements across safety, quality, service cost, people and compliance through developing high performing site teams and to contribute to the broader strategic direction of Tayto Group supply chain functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee production of high quality Tayto branded and retailed own label products
Engender and develop high performing site teams within sphere of responsibility
Build and coach a strong team of Manager and Supervisors with a strong and respectful team ethic
Implement the company health, safety and environmental policy in line with the Group vision and site KPI’s
Achieve manufacturing excellence, ensuring best practice and establishing continuous improvement programmes are established to support the delivery of all manufacturing KPI’s
Ensuring product quality and safety including adherence to all legislative food requirements and high product integrity standards
Coordinate the Company’s Capital Investment programme from presentation of projects through to successful implementation
What will we need from you?
Skills:
Demonstrable experience as a multi-site Factory/General Manager within an FMCG environment
Experience dealing with major retailers
High degree of engineering, maintenance strategy design and implementation
Previous experience within industrial relations experience and working collaboratively with Trade Unions
Health, Safety & Environmental management
Detailed knowledge of Six Sigma, LEANManufacturing, RCM & TPM
Experience of BRC ‘A’ grade accreditation
Understanding of NPD processes
