Main purpose of the role & responsibilities in the business:

As a Senior Account Director (Leader) in Kainos, you will be part of the Healthcare Senior Leadership team and will be responsible for running and developing a number of accounts. This includes account planning & strategy, account management execution, business development, delivery, risk & quality assurance, executive reporting, financial operations, people allocation and talent development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Setting the direction, priorities and plan for named account(s) in agreement with the BU Leadership Team, regularly reviewing against measurable objectives including sales, revenue and margin quotas.
* Developing and maintaining a broad number of strong senior client relationships to understand their issues and opportunities, utilising senior Kainos staff to gain higher level access.
* Ensuring timely winning and contracting of new business to align with sales and revenue targets, as well as maintaining a smooth staffing profile.
* Leading all aspects of the operational running of the account(s) including full responsibility for business development, commercial performance, forecasting and cashflow.
* Leading the planning, preparation and execution of pursuit plans for major strategic deals.
* Proactively investigating, understanding and reacting to the specific dynamics of their clients; similarly understands political, economic and technology trends and implications for the client, all with a view to developing additional business.
* Ensuring risk management and reporting on an ongoing basis with active quality assurance.
* Effectively communicating the direction and progress with Staff, BU Leadership Team and client where appropriate.
* Developing of and adherence to Group People strategies to engage, develop, retain and attract the top talent in the market.
* Ensuring Kainos company culture, modelling behaviours and values that exemplify the affiliative company culture are adhered to and maintained.
Minimum (essential) requirements:
* Leading major client engagements for services business.
* Leading pre-sales/business development activities and bids within the UK public sector.
* Fostering strong and appropriate relationships with senior stakeholders.
* Balancing multiple areas of responsibility simultaneously.
* Ability to lead, grow and motivate effective teams.
* An appreciation and knowledge of technology delivery, agile methodologies, etc.
* Ability to plan and meet deadlines in accordance with business requirements.
* Highly knowledgeable of the following areas: People, Culture & Talent Development, Finance, planning and evaluation, business development.
Desirable:
* Experience in delivery of large-scale engagements in the healthcare sector.
* Builds a strong business network in the healthcare sector.
* Business development success establishing net new clients.
* Experience of selling digital services of scale and complexity (£multi-million) for at least five years in a previous role.
