Head of Product & Delivery – People Technology

As the Head of Product & Delivery for People Technology you will be a member of the leadership team for Enterprise Technology. Working closely with your Technology peers and senior director-level business stakeholders you will have a mandate for change and run a large and complex product area, driving product strategy, roadmap and execution for that by leading a team of talented Product Owners.
In partnership with your business stakeholders, you will be responsible for setting the agenda for our People & Culture Technology solutions which sit at the centre of our goal to provide an excellent and exciting Technology experience to all our colleagues. What You’ll Do as a Head of Product & Delivery – People Technology
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
* Have accountability for a large and complex product domain, and drive product strategy, roadmap and execution for that by leading a team of talented Product Managers and Product Owners
* Utilising deep functional expertise for strategic portfolio planning, delivery management of products (including ideate, design, build, test and deploy), and management of live products
* Responsible for a portfolio of projects and programmes delivering change aligned to your product domain
* Translating business plans, product roadmaps and technology strategy into delivery roadmaps and developing and training the team to meet the needs of these priorities
* Leading the transformation to a product-based, agile at scale delivery model, establishing and maintaining cross-functional delivery teams and utilising DevOps and Agile practices
* Matching demand with supply constraints (financial, people and skills, commercial) and identifying key dependencies, overlaps, conflicts and gaps
* Tracking both effort and value delivery identifying opportunities for cost reduction, using this insight to inform prioritisation of opportunities for the product area and maximise value realisation for the customer
* Responsible for managing costs associated with implications of risks/issues, involving stakeholders and managing budget variation as appropriate within the product area
* Proactively partnering with peers and director-level business stakeholders to set the future direction of product domain as part of the wider business strategy.
* Supporting end-to-end delivery by maintaining a -day product plan, as well as a prioritised and estimated Full Year backlog and 3-5 year roadmap
* Coordinate and report post-launch and ongoing evaluation to validate that products work for customers or colleagues as designed, gauge user sentiment and ensure that value is delivered
What You’ll Bring

* + years experience in IT Portfolio Management, Product Management or IT Transformation Delivery at enterprise level, preferably in an agile at scale environment
* Experience of owning and creating Technology roadmaps
* Experience of owning and managing senior business stakeholder relationships
* An appropriate degree, equivalent qualification or experience
