Information about the role:
This role is based in the Training Team at the National CBRN Centre near Coventry which supports, strengthens and assures the multi-agency general and specialist response to CBRN Terrorism. This is a critical function and we are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified Paramedic Trainer in a small multi-agency team of subject matter experts who are responsible for delivering the Centre’s CBRN training programme to Home Police forces, other organisations and Partner Agencies. This role is offered as a 2-year secondment opportunity. Work across (and in conjunction with) the four thematic teams of CBRN Training & CPD, Capabilities, Operations and Performance & Development to support, strengthen and assure the police response to CBRN Terrorism.
Responsibilities:
1. Work as part of a team to maintain and develop CBRN capability for the Emergency Services and key partner agencies through the delivery of the national CBRN training programme.
2. Deliver, develop, design, evaluate and quality assure training materials to ensure a high quality of products and packages are available for CBRN responders across the UK.
3. Ensure value for money in training and development programmes through delivery of cost-effective options.
4. Maintain and develop a high level of subject knowledge in CBRN and own agency disciplines through training delivery and maintaining own operational competence.
5. Build and develop relationships with external agencies and suppliers.
6. Develop and maintain senior level relationships.
7. Undertake any duties tasked by line manager or management colleagues in support of the CBRN centre and wider CT network.
8. Maintain occupational and operational competence as a paramedic through own home organisation (which the NCBRNC will support release as necessary to achieve).
9. Be prepared to carry out any tasks that the Head of Centre requires commensurate with the role.
