Job Description Registered Veterinary Nurse - orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries Location – Dudley Salary - £28,000-£32,000 DOE Contract Type - Permanent Hours – Full time 39 hours per week, Saturdays on a rota basis Would you like a role where you can fully utilise your nursing skills, and have the opportunity to further your learning? Here at Dudley, we are a training practice with a varied workload and perform a full range of orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries. We actively encourage and support CPD and study towards certificates, to ensure that you become the RVN you aspire to be. About our team You’ll be joining an experienced and inclusive team of 4 RVNs and an SVN, who work alongside 3 Vets to make up our brilliant clinical team. Our nurses are veterinary professionals and as such we ensure that they can fulfil their clinical potential. We have a team of 5 talented Receptionists led by an experienced Practice Manager, to support the client journey and freeing up our Nurses to carry out their roles effectively. Our practice provides excellent facilities including an operating theatre, 3 dedicated consult rooms, large prep area, x-ray room and isolation block with separate cat and dog kennels; giving you access to all the equipment and space you need to care for your patients. Hours This role is full time up to 39 hours per week, with no on call or Sundays, and Saturdays are covered on a rota basis (9am-1pm) to keep it fair for everyone. About you You will have a good experience of veterinary nursing, excellent customer service and communication skills, be an effective team player and able to use your own initiative when required. You are friendly, down-to-earth, have a genuine interest in animal welfare and enjoy the variety provided by the clients and colleagues alike. We support any team members who are interested in developing their skills. An interest in Clinical Coaching/ Supervising and supporting our student nurses would be advantageous (training not essential and will be provided if interested in the future).
