Working as a vital part of the IT Team, this role offers the opportunity for an enthusiastic, skilled IT technician, analyst or engineer to provide network infrastructure, IT support and security skills to support the important work of Trinity House across a wide range of digital technologies.
The role requires customer-focused support skills (first, second and third-line) and advanced problem-solving management on a wide range of software, hardware, network and business critical systems. The ability to work autonomously and apply your technical skills is also required for elements of project delivery.
After suitable training, you will be required to participate in the Service Desk shift roster (shift working hours between 0700-1900 on weekdays) and provide limited out-of-hours on-call cover for approximately one week in eight.
Occasional, short-duration travel to our other UK sites may be required.

Your qualifications, experience and skills to date should include:
-Professionally qualified to MCSE, MCIPT or equivalent
-Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
-Significant exposure to technical IT knowledge at an advanced level, including knowledge and experience of IT Service Desk operation.
-Knowledge and understanding of cyber security threats, vulnerabilities and mitigations.
-Understanding of Cloud based and hosted technologies e.g, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS.
-Awareness of web services architectures and the ability to code and script in a variety of languages would be desirable.
