What skills and experience we're looking for
The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust Board is looking to appoint a practising Catholic leader, with a strong personal faith together with the vision, leadership and energy to build on our Trust’s strengths, and provide our pupils with the very best learning experiences.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and innovative Deputy Headteacher. It is envisaged that this post will be non-class based to enable the successful candidate to focus on the significant leadership responsibility, though there will be a teaching commitment each week.
This role offers the opportunity for an ambitious and innovative leader to work alongside talented colleagues and help shape the future of our school.
The successful candidate will have experience in developing high quality curriculum intent, and coaching subject leaders to implement, review impact and improve practice across all phases. The candidate must be able to demonstrate with evidence the work they have undertaken to develop others in their own practice.
The key focus of the role will be centred around working with teachers, support staff and the Senior Leadership Team to develop practice across the school. They will do this by working closely with staff, coaching them to understand what is required of a teacher and subject leader, and provide supportive accountability to ensure that development of key areas of the school development plan move on at pace.
The successful candidate will support the Headteacher and SLT in tenaciously developing the highest quality and consistent teaching and learning throughout our school. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring senior leader or current Deputy Headteacher who has the skills to develop and empower others.
