Job Responsibilities Coordinate and lead the nursing team to provide person-centred care, promoting dignity, privacy, independence, and equality. Assist the Service Manager in leading staff to deliver high-quality care in a safe, supportive environment. Ensure the effective operation of the nursing units and maintain communication with external health professionals. Oversee infection control measures and conduct audits across the service. Act as a role model and provide leadership by being approachable and visible to all employees. Manage the nursing unit, ensuring smooth admissions and discharges, and support recruitment and onboarding of new staff. Conduct performance reviews, appraisals, and mentorship for employees. Address complaints and suggestions promptly, ensuring actions are taken within set timeframes. Support the Service Manager in building a positive workplace culture and maintaining high levels of employee engagement. Provide leadership in the absence of the Service Manager, escalating concerns when necessary.
