Salary and Benefits £45k - £55k, with an annual bonus scheme of c. 10% of base salary. As a Human Resources Officer your main duties will be: Have a clear understanding of the business objectives and be able to devise and implement policies that support them Write and develop job descriptions, person specifications and job adverts and manage recruitment process Plan and deliver training, including new staff inductions Manage monthly payroll with the input of an external payroll provider Undertake salary reviews and manage redundancy programmes if any Carry out strategy and planning activities and develop strategies to meet immediate and long-term staff requirements Develop and implement policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures, and absence management Liaise with a range of managers involved in policy areas such as staff performance, organisational structure, and health and safety Prepare staff handbooks and maintain employee records Interpret and advise on employment law Deal with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures Analyse training needs in conjunction with departmental managers Continuous improvement scheme, with trainings and involvement in HR related events to maintain What are we looking for in a candidate? The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of all aspect of Human Resource Management and Administration. As a small business we are looking for an individual to take ownership and responsibility of these areas. As the HR officer with 5 years relevant experience, you will be involved in a wide range of activities. We would expect you to be experienced in the following areas: Recruitment and retention Induction and training Equality, diversity and inclusion Conditions of employment Disciplinary and grievance cases Employee welfare, support and engagement Learning and development Policies, procedures and working practices Performance and appraisal management and resulting training and development programmes.
