Job Purpose
The easyJet Portfolio Delivery Manager role has responsibility for working with the Head of Portfolio and with key business stakeholders to support the shaping of, managing and delivering a portfolio of strategic business change projects aligned to the easyJet strategic objectives and priorities. This role will manage the coordination of a defined roadmap of projects (using a variety of delivery methodologies), across various business units and technology teams.
The role is pivotal in ensuring that all projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with our strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple technology platforms and leading teams in both waterfall and agile methodologies.
What you’ll need to do the role
* Supporting the business and technology teams to shape new ideas and create robust business cases for initiatives that are defined in the portfolio baseline plan.
* Working with the programme and project managers and reporting to the Head of Portfolio, support the delivery of specific projects, products and services focusing on time, cost and quality parameters within a complex portfolio delivered by multiple teams using an agile or traditional methodology.
* Working continuously to ensure alignment across Heads of, project managers, product owners, business stakeholders, and technology managers, striving always for effective collaboration to achieve specific OKRs and KPIS.
* Manage reporting, governance, and value measurement processes to ensure transparency and accountability across all projects, flagging key risks and issues proactively.
* Identify and manage people, project & process dependencies, working with stakeholders to resolve and escalating proactively as required.
* Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
* Lead and mentor teams across different technical platforms and processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Adapt management methods to accommodate blended delivery models, including both waterfall and agile frameworks.
* Develop and implement delivery frameworks that integrate seamlessly with various business units and IT strategies..
* Ensuring all projects and programmes adhere to easyJet governance, processes and standards, based on scale, complexity and risk aligned to the enterprise change framework.
* Supporting the quarterly portfolio planning process.
* Consistently driving an excellent customer experience.
Key Stakeholders:
The role will develop close working relationships with multiple business functional leads and product delivery teams to ensure that there is clarity in what is required and that delivery is maintained to value, time, cost and quality
Key Skills
Proven experience as a Portfolio Manager, Programme Manager, or similar role in project delivery across multiple platforms and business units.
* Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies, including both Agile and Waterfall.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively under pressure.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in project management software and tools
Desirable Skills:
Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.)
Experience in the aviation or travel industry.
