SUMMARY
QMS Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the QMS (quality management system), creating or updating quality manuals, handling internal & external audits, and supporting an ISO 9001-compliant Quality management system. This role drives compliance to QMS processes and continual improvement actions. Responsibilities include assessing and reporting Quality System performance to management for review/action as needed, coordinating training, and coaching personnel in Quality Management System requirements.

Responsibilities:
* Prepare written quality procedures and policies.
* Analyze and recommend appropriate changes of quality procedures to respective managers to help improve their processes.
* Audit existing and new quality procedures for compliance based on ISO requirements and audit history.
* Identify quality training needs and coordinate quality training programs.
* Report ongoing activities to Managers/Executives and keep the company's continuous improvement efforts on track.
* Maintain the corrective/preventive action program; monitor, evaluate, and assign corrective action plans to appropriate personnel.
* Assist in the continuous evaluation of the quality system for compliance to ISO 9001:2015 and internal processes/policies.
* Prepare QMS performance reports for Management Review Meetings.
* Other duties as business needs dictate.
Required Years and Area of Experience:
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in Quality Assurance and/or quality systems in the auto industry or machinery manufacturing.
* Associate degree in a relevant manufacturing/engineering field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Skills / Experience:
* Thorough understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
* Familiar with the manufacturing process of the auto industry, including welding, painting, assembly, and system validation.
* Effective communicator (written and verbal), highly organized, detail-oriented with excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
* Experience organizing and performing internal audits is required.
* Action-oriented, capable of making informed decisions, self-motivated, and able to influence without authority.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Self-starter with the ability to drive things to closure.
* Excellent organizational skills.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in automotive engineering or similar majors; or Associate's degree with minimum 3 years' related work experience.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Pay Range
* $70k - $100k/yr
