Reporting to the Truck Centre Manager (or Truck Supervisor) to carry out tyre fitting and tyre repairs primarily with Truck customers. Assist with the completion of fitting and removal of tyres to a high standard, ensuring the customer is satisfied with all levels of work carried out at all times.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Carrying out tyre fitting and tyre repairs for a variety of Truck customers safely and to a high standard. Some fitting and repairs to various light vehicles may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational
* Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard.
* Operate machinery in a safe working manner.
* Work in a safe manner and comply with health & safety regulations at all times.
* Ensure you do not work on any product or service that you have not been assessed as competent in or trained to carry out.
* Adhere to company procedures at all times.
* Make customers and/or management aware of any additional faults found on the customer’s vehicle.

* All documentation to be completed accurately and legibly, computer records to be updated accurately if required.
* Ensure that the customer’s vehicle is cleaned of any dirt/oil, or any other marks resulting from the job you have carried out.
* Complete all work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
* Utilise appropriate vehicle inspection sheets and procedures to identify all work required on customers' vehicles and inform management/customer of those requirements.
* Limit the use of consumables and inform management of order/stock requirements.
* Ensure that all services and/or products used are reported correctly for invoicing purposes.
Internal Control:
* Ensure relevant policies and procedures are followed to enable compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the aspects of responsibility under the control of this role.
* Support internal and external audit activities as required.
* Utilise and accurately complete appropriate documentation and procedures to ensure all work required on customers' vehicles is completed to the highest standards. Inform management of any issues arising.
* Limit the use of consumables and inform management of identified order/stock requirements without delay.
* Ensure that all services and/or products used are reported correctly for invoicing purposes.
Health & Safety:
* Comply with all company/customer health & safety procedures and follow all necessary safe working practices at all times.
* Take responsibility for housekeeping.
* Carry out hazard spotting on an ongoing basis and inform management immediately of any possible health & safety issues.
* Always wear/use appropriate PPE whilst completing all tasks.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
EXPERIENCE AND ACHIEVEMENTS:
* Demonstrate experience of inspection, removal and repair/replacement of tyres in accordance with industry standards.
* Proven experience and background as a competent Tyre Fitter either through experience gained through continued employment or an Apprenticeship.
* Experience in a Truck environment.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:
* A good understanding of English instructions.

* Operate and work within health and safety guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS:
* Academic/Vocational qualification and experience, e.g., REACT, City Guilds, IMI, apprenticeship.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Minimum 3 GCSEs or Scottish National or intermediate in maths, English and a Science-based subject (If no formal qualification, level 1 knowledge qualification (VRQ) would be beneficial).
* Emergency First Aid at work/First Aid at work.
