Position: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Newcraighall Primary School
Salary: £28,046 - £32,010 (pro-rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 20 per week, 39 weeks sessional
This is an exciting opportunity to join Newcraighall Primary School Nursery which allows for 20 full-time, term time places. The post is a nursery transitioning into Primary 1, alternate years vacancy. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team with recent experience of working within the nursery environment.
Newcraighall Primary is a small single stream school with a full-time nursery (sessional) with 20 spaces. We currently have approx 180 pupils attending school. Newcraighall serves the growing village on the Eastern side of the city. Close to the city bypass with a station on the Borders Railway, we are only 11 minutes from central Edinburgh.
Regulatory Information: This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
