Gas Engineer
Lancing – covering the South East

- £44,218 per year
40 hours per week
We are looking for a qualified domestic Gas Engineer who can work as part of our team and on their own, while completing a defined workload of service, repair and installation jobs per day. You will join our Gas Maintenance team, to assist with delivering high quality gas servicing and maintenance of heating systems for our customers. This role will also include On Call duties every 4 to 5 weeks covering sites across the South East.
The role of Gas Engineer will include:
- Carrying out fault fixing, servicing and installation of gas central heating, oil heating and air source heating systems
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
- Resolving problems or set in to motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Unvented
- G3 Certificate, Water Regulations (WRAS) or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application
- Domestic ACS qualifications and OFTEC oil qualifications are desirable
- Previous experience in a similar domestic gas servicing and maintenance role is essential
- The ability to work alone on a variety of different boiler types and systems
- Have a proactive approach to health and safety, creating a safe environment for all
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving license
As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
