Boots Opticians is seeking a Data Lead to join our Customer & Commercial team reporting into the Data Governance Manager. This pivotal role supports our people, practices, and customers by maintaining high standards in data management enabling seamless and efficient trading. Key Responsibilities: • Support Commercial Activities: The role plays an integral role in the Product Lifecycle Management process and other commercial initiatives, such as promotions. We are always looking for opportunities to improve processes and simplify activities. • Handle Incidents and Queries: Manage incidents and service calls efficiently, ensuring prompt resolutions and establishing preventative measures to reduce recurrence. • Master Data: Maintain practice system data, SAP, and back-office retail systems ensuring updates and amendments are carried out to support smooth operations for practices, customers, orders, and invoicing. • Champion Data Governance: Build strong relationships across the Opticians business and the wider organization to implement best practices in data management, fostering first-class data governance processes. • Ensure Data Quality: Take ownership of product, promotion and stores data accuracy and completeness by establishing KPIs, driving data cleansing initiatives, and continuously challenging and improving data quality. What you’ll need to have: • An ability to understand and articulate complex system relationships and their impact on business management. • The ability the build relationships across business areas. • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to dissect complex data-related issues and drive continuous improvement. • Proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Excel). It would be great if you also have: • SAP, and Practice Management System experience. • Master Data experience. • Experience of working in the optical sector.
