Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioner
Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services)
Are you an experienced, dynamic and energetic clinician looking for a new challenge? Would you like to add military mental healthcare to your career portfolio? We deliver military mental healthcare service delivery across South West England and you could play a role in this exciting project.
We are looking for someone with vision, experience and drive who can adapt to a new organisational culture whilst still adhering to the highest standards of professional practice. Being an active team member will inspire mental healthcare colleagues to work together to provide the best care for serving military personnel whilst your clinical experience will ensure timely and efficient service delivery. This is a unique opportunity to work in a specialist occupational mental health service with both patients and colleagues who have served around the world.
You will need to maintain a flexible approach to evolving service delivery requirements in a fast-paced occupational environment. Experience of working with military populations is an advantage but it is by no means a pre-requisite for application. Your interest, enthusiasm and commitment are more important!
The full-time position being advertised is for 37.5 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part-time will be considered, taking into account business needs.

The post holder will have experience of working in adult community mental healthcare.
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your existing knowledge and skill to a new delivery setting which includes the use of remote video consultation. As the service develops, we would be encouraging you to explore opportunities to work in partnership with Primary Care and Welfare Services colleagues to expand the offer.
