Amazon is currently looking for a highly motivated, forward-thinking Transportation Carrier Manager to join the Transportation team.
The role represents a critical function with Amazon EU Operations to continuously improve the service levels, capacities, and costs of the EU Transportation Line Haul to ensure promises to the customers are being maintained.
Key job responsibilities
1. Track existing metrics to detect & remove defects
2. Line haul performance management (e.g. on-time truck performance)
3. Continuous Improvement Management
4. Coach, educate and facilitate the growth relationship between Amazon and our dedicated transport partners.
5. Support Contract management and contract compliance for partners
6. Q4 planning and execution (Amazon Peak)
7. Support the Operations Planning (OP) Process: goal settings
8. Prepare and participate in recurrent Ops calls, business reviews, QBRs, Customer Service workshops (to support the improvement plans)
9. Maintain and improve communication, process and Fulfillment Center/partner interface
10. Develop relationships with Partners to encourage and facilitate communication to drive new opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you need a passion for making data-driven decisions which will have a direct impact on customer experience. You will require Transportation experience. Experience in either Transport Management, Planning, Compliance or Performance. Some keys to your success are the ability to be an effective communicator to various audiences. The ability to remain flexible and adapt to learning new tools is instrumental in your role on the team. Our environment is deadline driven, fast-paced, and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable interacting and working with multiple teams.
Minimum Requirements
1. A degree
2. Experience in supply chain
3. Experience in program or project management
4. Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
5. Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
6. Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level
7. Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
8. Experience in driving end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
9. Experience leading process improvements
10. Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
11. Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
12. Knowledge in SQL
13. Possess a CPCP
