Join to apply for the Clinical Quality Lead role at Saarthy Travel Solutions.
The post holder will work across Gloucestershire, delivering care and training on a range of nursing interventions in the homes of children and their families. They will ensure the safe practice and quality standards of care for children within these settings through specialist training and assessment of Children's Complex Care Support Workers. The model of training within the Children's Complex Care Team is a hybrid model which involves assessment of theoretical knowledge after delivery of classroom-based teaching. The assessment of clinical skills is mostly through simulation but may involve practical assessment and demonstration with patients.
This practical assessment is due to a high level of risk associated with some clinical tasks. These nursing skills include but are not limited to tracheostomy suction, tracheostomy tube changes, tracheostomy care, and Nasogastric tube feeding. The post holder will develop, coordinate, and support the provision of high-quality clinical education, training, and supervision of staff. They will manage the governance related to this by reporting on staff who have been trained and are competent to deliver care and any other issues that arise and require escalation.
The role includes the development of educational and training resources to ensure the ongoing relevance and accuracy of training delivered. The post holder will ensure the provision of safe, effective assessment, treatment, and clinical management of children and young people with complex needs.
