To thereby help understand, prevent and ameliorate psychological distress and disorder and improve mental health and wellbeing of clients. The role involves the administration, scoring and report writing of psychometric assessments, standardised risk assessments, clinical formulation and supervised individual and group interventions. Clinical supervision will be provided as an important part of personal and professional development, and additional training will be supported. Candidate Profile You will be a strong team player, confident, motivated and well organised. You will have a good understanding of the role of therapeutic boundaries, clinical risk and the importance of evidence-based interventions. Patience and commitment are essential, but above all youll be someone with a genuine desire to help others. We are looking for someone with a good degree in Psychology, further postgraduate training in relevant area of applied psychology and mental health is desirable. Previous experience of working within mental health services and settings is essential, and previous experience of working as an Assistant Psychologist and delivering 1:1 therapeutic work and/or group therapy sessions is essential.
