For more information about the company visit https://www.barrettsteel.com/ All about the role Based at our Yarmouth Steel Services site, we seek individuals who are passionate, hard-working, ambitious and demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude to help us build and develop the business. Specific tasks include: • Sourcing new sales opportunities and developing existing customer base. • Build partnering relationships to understand customer needs and requirements. • Develop relationships with key accounts so that clear communication lines are open. • Process sales enquiries / orders and see all administration through to completion, ensuring excellent levels of customer service. • Close sales and achieve monthly targets as agreed with your line manager. • Handle NC data for steel processing. • External visits to customer as required. • Assist in the development of the upselling of processed steel sections. • Helping to develop new business, ensuring potential clients are aware of what our business has to offer. • Raising Sales Orders, check stock availability and raising quotations. • Responding to non-sales queries such as order progression update, transport queries, incorrect/missing items. Essential Skills for the role: • All we ask for this role is that you are driven, collaborative, customer focused and goal oriented and have around 12 months experience in a similar sales role and are keen to learn and develop. • Can build strong relationships quickly with a proactive attitude and approach. • Enjoys working to targets and KPI’s • Excellent communication & computer skills • Ideally previous experience in the steel or related industries.
