I am currently partnering with an East Midlands based professional services business, to recruit for a HR Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.
The organisation has offices based in Chesterfield, Mansfield, Nottingham & Derby, overseeing a headcount of 175. This is a full time, permanent position.
Based predominantly at the Chesterfield site. With travel to the other offices (1-2 days per week), travel expensed.
This full-time, generalist role will support a fast-moving business with further expansion planned. Reporting to and working alongside the Chief Operations Officer, the role will involve the day-to-day management and longer-term development of the HR support service.
A day in the life of a HR Advisor:
1. Supporting recruitment activity, including advertising through various job boards, candidate sifting, arranging interviews, liaising with agencies. Developing a positive candidate experience.
2. Delivering new starter inductions.
3. Managing and reporting absence. Ensuring adherence to policy and supporting managers with long-term absences/capability cases. Working with external Occupational Health consultants where relevant.
4. Coaching and guiding managers on employee relations activities throughout the employee life cycle.
5. Conducting exit interviews.
6. Maintaining policy documents.
