ROLE SPECIFICATION
Role Objective:
The Bid Response Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the bid writing team ensuring all tender opportunities are reviewed and allocated promptly whist working closely with the Sales Teams to prepare compelling written / qualitative proposals.
Role Responsibilities:
* Review and quality assess the non-commercial responses to all bids valued over £100k per annum, prior to their being issued to Sales for their input.
* Mentor and provide guidance / support to the Bids & Tender Executives.
* Project manage and take ownership of Bid Library content ensuring documents are allocated within the team and updated in a timely manner.
* Monitor potential tendering opportunities, by utilising market and prospect intelligence and the tender tracking databases.
* Maintain and update the bid response library of supporting and source documents.
* Assess, provide synopsis and contribute to storyboard meetings for each tender that is assigned to you.
* Project manage each tender opportunity you are assigned, engaging those persons throughout the business that will need to have input into the completion of the tender response and work with the sales owner. This will include but not be limited to the Pricing Team, Contracts Administration Team, Implementation Team, Operations, IT and Finance.
* Write a compelling business response for each project.
* Take full ownership, responsibility and accountability for the progress and submission of the response and deliver it back to the sales owner or the tendering organisation in a timely fashion.
* Obtain timely legal reviews of contract terms & conditions and ensure they are communicated to the sales team / management.
* Conduct Pre and Post Tender briefings with clients where required.
* Review, analyse and report on feedback received for all bids.
* Offer advice, support and back up to the sales community as required.
