Parexel FSP has an exciting opportunity for a Vendor Start-up Manager to join our dedicated team, based in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Serbia, or Romania.
Job Summary:
The VSM ensures efficient vendor service delivery during trial start-up, supports implementation of category strategies, and ensures compliance throughout the study. The role involves assessing risks and planning contingencies to de-risk study start-up and beyond. This position is category-aligned, specifically managing Patient Recruitment and Retention services/vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review vendor and category-specific protocol sections, leveraging vendor expertise for protocol refinement.
* Contribute to the development of Study Specification Worksheet (SSW) for vendor bidding and selection.
* Review quotes/proposals with procurement and vendors, support contract negotiations if needed.
* Review vendor budgets, control costs, reconcile invoices, and close POs.
* Provide study demands to VCE for program overview.
* Ensure submission documents are provided by vendors for participating countries.
* Collaborate with trial and monitoring teams to understand site requirements.
* Share changes to country and site plans with vendors and VCE; support contract amendments.
* Optimize the study start-up process for timely site readiness.
* Ensure vendor service quality and address vendor-related issues.
* Create and maintain vendor risk maps with contingency plans.
* Follow up on vendor risks and issues across countries and hubs.
* Document vendor performance issues, implement corrective actions, and escalate when necessary.
* Conduct root cause analysis of performance issues and identify trends.
* Support the development of standards, templates, and tools for vendors.
* Assist practice leaders in improvement projects and learning initiatives.
* Provide data for vendor qualification efforts across departments.
* Review and approve invoices.
* Develop and support training materials with vendors.

Knowledge & Experience:
* Minimum 3 years in clinical operations and vendor management.
* Strong knowledge of GxP and ICH regulations.
* Expertise in clinical trial design and vendor requirements mapping.
* Experience managing Patient Recruitment and Retention vendors/services.
* Leadership in supplier relationship management.
* Cross-divisional partnering experience.
* Skills in root cause analysis, problem solving, and solution implementation.
* Understanding of key milestones and vendor readiness.
* Experience in outsourcing, contracting, sourcing clinical services, and managing RFPs/RFQs.
* Optional: experience with global equipment supply or radiation services.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in science or business, or equivalent experience.
