A Professional Financial Lines (PFL) Claims Adjuster works under the direction of a Team Manager, performing a range of technical checks and processes a variety of insurance documentation for different customers and classes of business.
All work processed must meet agreed strict service levels in respect of quality and turnaround times.
Training will be provided for all insurance documentation / systems required to perform the role.
We're looking for people who have:
1. Working knowledge of Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers and Financial Institutions business classes in the UK and worldwide.
2. Experience with both direct insurance and reinsurance placements.
3. Proficiency in adjusting claims from first advice to settlement in a lead and/or agreement party/follow capacity.
• Worked with other stakeholders within their own company (legal, compliance, etc) and external stakeholders such as co insurers, brokers, loss adjusters and lawyers.
4. Computer literacy including a practical knowledge of ECF.
5. Discipline to work to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail.
6. Strong organisational, personal and time management skills.
7. Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Flexibility to adapt and apply skillset to evolving business requirements.
9. Excellent Customer Service skills.
10. Ability to demonstrate strong negotiating and influencing competencies.
