Sandwell's Prevention Stores delivers / maintains / services equipment and assistive technology to enable the people of Sandwell to live as independently as they can within their home environment. As an important front-line service working alongside a range of Health & Social Care Services, we are looking to expand maintenance team. Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out servicing and maintenance of specialist equipment such as profiling beds, hoists, and specialist seating
* Provide a breakdown and maintenance service within the community
* Carry out regular servicing in line with Health and Safety guidelines on a range of manual handling equipment
* Liaise with suppliers and external professionals to ensure equipment is safe and suitable to meet the needs of individuals
All candidates must hold a full valid driving license. You will also be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check. The service operates 7 days a week (standard hours), including Bank Holidays and successful candidates will be required to work on a rota basis with each post holder required to work one weekend in every six.
Qualification requirements: Literacy Level 2 qualification or equivalent as a minimum.
