An exciting and newly created opportunity has become available for a Management Accountant to join YTL Construction UK.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial insights, management reporting and cost analysis to support decision-making.
In addition, you will have responsibility for the management accounts of YTL Construction UK and its subsidiaries, including posting journals to maintain accurate ledgers, analysing revenue and costs, and providing detailed reports for management review.
Our forecasted annual revenue is currently £100m and it is expected to grow to £650m to £850m over the next five years.
What you'll do
As an experienced finance professional, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* preparing and maintaining our management accounts pack, including revenue, profit and cash forecasts
* supporting the Finance Manager with monthly reporting information for the Finance Director and board
* preparing balance sheet reconciliations while having an understanding of each line
* reviewing calculations and reconciliations for accruals and prepayments
* preparing intercompany invoices and funding information to enable appropriate funding requests for the month ahead
* providing information to aid financial planning and analysis, such as forecasted costs, cash expenditure and variances against budgeted figures
* providing reporting and holding meetings with business leads to discuss monthly accounts
* maintaining and updating the financial systems and assisting in their development
* providing general support to finance and the wider business as and when required to increase capacity and improve business reporting
* ensuring compliance with all finance processes, controls and regulatory framework
* supporting the preparation of VAT returns, land remediation relief and other tax reporting requirements
* assisting with all queries from audit and being a focal point for all questions relating to YTL Construction UK.
What you'll need
In this important role, you will be a qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) and will have previous experience working in a similar role.
Knowledge of the construction and/or development industry would be preferred, however alternative industry sectors will be considered.
You will ideally have experience with COINS (our ERP system) and/or Unit 4 (Agresso) or similar.
You will also have the ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively solve problems, with good attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills.
