The role will support Project Managers and Project Technical Leads by providing technical expertise. The successful candidate will be working as part of the design team developing technical solutions to various industries including water and wastewater facilities
Due to significant growth within our DV2 lot 4 framework, ID Systems are looking to recruit Project Engineers, preferably with a MEICA background in the water sector.
As a Electrical Project Engineer your responsibilities will include:
1. Working within a multi-disciplinary team on projects primarily in the water & waste water, power distribution and petrochemical industries.
2. Initially supporting Project Managers with knowledge to complete simple design and project engineering functions.
3. Progressively and increasingly become involved in, and be responsible for, elements of design and project delivery.
4. Continual professional development including professional registration is encouraged and actively supported.
5. Attend and contribute to internal and external design review and progress meetings.
6. Participate in design co-ordination with other engineering disciplines and professionals.
7. Produce cable calculations.
8. Produce electrical schematic diagrams and documentation.
9. Review of specifications and designs against industry standards and specifications
10. Procurement of electrical equipment and support for subcontract procurement based on detailed specifications
11. Ensure that site installation works and quality match both design and appropriate industry standards.
12. Record and Review as-built information
13. Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
Person Specification
Are you qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or other relevant subject?
Maintained professional qualified and/or member of a relevant engineering institution e.g. CEng / IEng MIET
Have you experience in relevant industry and preferably previous experience water / wastewater experience?
Possess sound knowledge of current legislation and able to work in accordance with QA and H&S procedures?
Are you computer literate with a good understanding of appropriate software packages including Microsoft Office and CAD packages?
Experienced level of judgement making and ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands.
Can you communicate at all levels with the client, suppliers, contractors and design team?
You must have excellent written and oral communications skills and exceptional organisational skills.
Able to initiate dialog with wide range of personnel to obtain information and close issues.
