Opportunity for a Senior Visual Designer to join a Global Supplier of IT and Engineering Services to the Oil and Gas industry in Abingdon.
You will be responsible for overseeing all programmes and products that have UX resource in them and making sure they are following visual design best-practice and adhering to to the global brand and design systems.
Primary Skills:
1. Soft skills such as great attention to detail. Youâre an effective and considered communicator, you have resilience, and solid stakeholder management capabilities, amongst others.
2. Output quality skills such as being able to oversee quality and consistency of work and understand a projectâs requirements at a strategic and tactical level, amongst others.
3. Project delivery skills such as understanding and defining a projectâs scope, outcome, and deliverables. Working at various velocities depending on the project needs, and prioritising work based on learnings and priority shifts, amongst others.
4. Visual design skills such as helping support in designing and maintaining design systems, recognising how to support accessibility standards, and helping adhere to visual design guidelines, amongst others.
5. Create and manage product specific design system repositories, which consist of the style guide, component library, and pattern library. All of which live within Figma and are visible to all technology centers and UX Studios.
6. A mix of interaction / usability design skills, and visual design skills, are needed to be successful in this role. Part of the visual design champion role and responsibilities focuses on the granular execution of components and patterns, in its entirety, from how users interact with each component and pattern, to their look and feel. In doing so, it frees up the Product Designers to focus on complex problem solving. Examples include crafting customer journeys and user flows, as well as defining, tracking, and reporting metrics that track our productâs experience, amongst others.
