Business Development Account Manager
Up to £26,000 DOE + high OTE potential
We are looking for an experienced Sales Executive for our client who supplies both Corporate Training Services and Modern Apprenticeships Services. This is primarily an internal, office, and telephone-based role in Glasgow, which will also incorporate some external client meetings.
You will be required to proactively generate new business sales through warm and cold calling to businesses and pitching the prospect of having modern apprentices within their business or buying accredited corporate training courses for their existing staff to get qualified.
As well as working from some company-supplied data, you would also be required to research and source your own leads, targeting businesses and decision-makers in specific sectors that fit the criteria of being ideal and profitable customers for staff training or taking on apprentices. In your interim period in the role, you will be constantly looking to build your prospects and account base, and in time, your role should evolve into account management once you have built up a solid base of customers who will need your regular attention.
Although much of your work will be done in the office and over the phone, you will also sometimes be required to arrange and attend meetings with potential and existing customers, as this can increase the chances of opportunity and further business. This could be the perfect move for those who have felt restricted by telephone-only contact in their previous sales positions and for those who are keen to progress into a role that also involves face-to-face meetings with clients.

This is a full-time permanent position with a starting basic salary of up to £26,000 depending on experience and background. Achievers can expect to earn well above their basic salary—anything between £5,000 and £20,000 and above within a 3-year period as your account base continues to grow and as you become more adept at sourcing quality prospects.
