The role: As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you’ll maintain the engineering configuration, ensuring the overall design intent and integrity is maintained throughout the design lifecycle.
Day-to-day, you’ll promote effective cooperation across Engineering and other functional teams. You will assist in effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers to aid the development of business, resolution of technical and delivery issues, ensuring the customer is fully briefed and informed of progress.
Ensure procedures, codes, and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities. Communicate and manage task and project risks appropriately. Produce, review, and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation, and technical reports as assigned.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and is based in Warrington, Cheshire, providing hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
Essential experience: You are someone who owns and delivers, champions high performance, and is courageous to challenge the status quo. Knowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice is essential. You should have the ability to build strong and influential relationships with key stakeholders and experience leading a team. Nuclear experience is not a necessity; we welcome applications from all engineering backgrounds.
Qualifications: Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent experience. Holds or has the ability to obtain Chartered status.
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
