Role: Senior Project Manager Type: Permanent Location: Cambridge We are currently in the process of hiring an experienced construction professional to lead as number one and deliver the planning, organising, and execution of a project located in Cambridge. You will be working and reporting directly to the Project Director as well as working very closely alongside external client staff, key stakeholders, and the internal team. You will be expected to be responsible for the bulk of tasks through the direction and guidance of the Project Director. Essentially, in this role, you will be the day-to-day lead on site, as the Project Director oversees multiple sites. This is a permanent role and has a salary band of £85,000 up to £110,000. The project is located on a large-scale construction project located on a framework based in Cambridge, with one of our longest-tenured clients. The successful candidate will have experience working on commercial buildings, over £15million, and preferable would have laboratory or healthcare experience. As a Senior Project Manager, your principal roles and responsibilities will include: Leading package delivery and reporting to the Project Director. Planning and managing the effective delivery of all assigned packages. Scope out and ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule. Ensure that all projects comply with local, UK-specific, and EU- regulations. Ensuring adherence to all UK building codes. Strong financial acumen and budget management skills. Identify potential project risks and develop and proactively apply strategies to mitigate them. Be diligent, efficient and pay great attention to detail to deliver quality output. Collecting and analysing data to efficiently support decision-making. Track and report the progress of all ongoing projects.Essential Criteria: 3 years of Project Management. 2 years of professional construction experience with a Main Contractor. Client-facing/Live working environment experience. Proficiency in project management software and tools. SMSTS or equivalent Health & Safety Certificate. Qualified first aider. Excellent interpersonal skills.
