Our client is one of the world’s most respected design, engineering, project management and building services consultancies. They have a requirement for a Senior EICA Engineer - Electrical and ICA engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis and to help support their increasing portfolio and workload. The roles are to be based in the South West region, which includes the Bristol or Exeter office. The responsibilities will depend on each project however some of the general responsibilities include: - Asset surveys and assessments, using cutting-edge technologies and techniques as appropriate. - Feasibility, outline and detailed electrical and ICA design work (transformers, generators, LVSB, MCC, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, telemetry etc.) including equipment and system specifications, design schedules, drawings: SLDs, BCDs, earthing, systems architecture diagrams, user requirement specifications (URS/FDS), technical design risk assessments, P&IDs, cost and programme estimations. - Technical report writing at all stages of the project lifecycle. - Liaison with clients within the UK and worldwide. - Support and/or lead bids, fee proposals or offers of service; development of activity schedules/work plans. - Delivering projects as a part of multidisciplinary, multi-location, multi-party teams. - Preparing profile-raising material such as technical papers and presentations to conferences, staff and clients. - Support technical and ‘expert witness’ investigations and appraisals. - Supporting and technically developing less experienced colleagues. - Contributing to new innovative ideas/ making suggestions for innovation. - Opportunity to present your project work at company meetings or at conferences. - Working with and developing new automated digital design tools.
Requirements
- Degree-qualified with an Electrical or ICA bias; ideally a chartered Member of a recognised engineering institution. - You will be positive and enthusiastic, a confident communicator at all levels, and a team player. - You will have a keen interest in the water/wastewater industry and will ideally have already spent a proportion of your career in the water or a related similar industry that can be applied. - You will have a blend of leadership and technical expertise. - You will have experience of managing and mentor teams and/or individuals and/or projects, potentially split across disciplines and locations. - A developing external profile and reputation; a desire and willingness to raise the profile of oneself and the Company. - Willingness to contribute to and develop their technical knowledge networks.
