Location: Leamington Spa

Product Engineer key responsibilities
1. Developing and executing the product strategy, implementing the category road map.
2. Support the teams sales strategy utilising analytics/data, encouraging a proactive approach.
3. Completion and presentation of regular category reviews, analysing performance against previous targets and identifying opportunity to close performance gaps.
4. Managing the product portfolio, focusing on new product introduction, through cradle-to-grave process and managing excess and obsolete products, gap analysis and duplication's.
5. Developing products based on market research and cross functional collaboration.
6. Ensuring correct pricing, product features and benefits and photography in marketing activities.
7. Leading NPD projects, defining specifications, and presenting documentation to senior management.
8. Providing technical products support to other key business areas.
9. Supporting other Product Managers within the team as and when required.
Desirable
1. Current/previous experience as a Product Engineer/Manager, Category Manager/Assistant
2. Exposure to the Manufacturing, Utilities, Construction, Engineering or Building Materials industries
3. Technical mindset/ credibility
4. Knowledge of product standards/ highly regulated products.
5. Physical experience in bringing products to market.
6. Strategic ability to analyse and work effectively with product data
7. Excellent communication skills
