About the Role
As a Power BI Junior Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our reporting suite, troubleshooting issues, performing SQL maintenance, and supporting business analytics and modelling. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and enhance your technical skills while making a tangible impact on the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and maintain the Power BI reporting suite, including manual updates.
* Troubleshoot faults, investigate data issues, and escalate them as required.
* Assist in the simplification process, including performance analysis and documentation.
* Develop new reports and dashboards, using SQL to extract data from the warehouse (with guidance).
* Collect and clean data from various internal and external sources.
* Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns and anomalies.
* Create compelling visualisations and reports to present data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
* Provide support and advice to Power BI users, challenging requirements where necessary.
* Deputise for the Power BI Developer when needed.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* A bachelor’s degree in computing, mathematics, statistics, or another numerate discipline, OR relevant work experience with A-levels or a BTEC in a related field.
* Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* A willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace new challenges.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or other data visualization tools.
* SQL skills for querying databases.
* Familiarity with data modelling and working with large datasets.
