We are on the look for a well-rounded and experienced Electronic Hardware Engineer to join a small and very friendly company in Pitstone.
There's a lot that really stands out about this company, from the product they work with, the amazing people/culture they've got across the whole company and that the company also operates a 4-day working week and only operate Monday to Thursday (That's a 34 hour working week).
There are a few things that are absolute must haves to be considered for this role…
Ideally, you'd need to have worked in a smaller company and have been exposed to lots of different things, with a broad knowledge of different electronics.
FPGA designing (Xilinx preferred) is a need for this role, as well as Analogue/Digital PCB layout work (Altium Designer preferred).
Given the nature of the role you'd be fully site based with the team in Pitstone, however you'd only be working a 4-day week, 8am to 5pm working days and Monday to Thursday.
This position is paying a salary within the bracket of £60k to £75k dependant on experience, please note this is an approximate bracket.
Other than the salary, you'd be entitled to pension, medical insurance which will include your immediate family, life assurance, 22 days holiday which increases by 1 each year for 5 years, also that has taken away 3 days reserved for the company 2-week Christmas close-down. There is also an adhoc annual bonus which is very dependent on company success.
Duties will include:
1. Design and development of digital and analogue hardware, and systems for Products.
2. Development of test specifications and procedures.
3. Provision of consultancy services to customers.
4. Support of production activities within the company - to train and assist production staff where appropriate.
5. Documentation associated with products and services.
6. Direct customer support where appropriate.
Useful skills/experience to have:
1. Digital electronic design / FPGA (Xilinx preferred)
2. Analogue electronic design skills including high speed switching circuits and signal integrity
3. A/D and D/A converters and support circuitry
4. Analogue and Digital PCB Layout experience (Altium Designer preferred)
5. Good understanding of EMC
6. Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
7. Good communication skills
8. Understanding of image sensors and/or camera systems
9. Basic knowledge of Optics
10. Understanding of high Voltage circuits
11. Ability to work with minimum supervision
