Hutcheon Mearns are exclusively engaged to recruit UK Corporate Tax Manager for a highly acquisitive Private Equity backed business which provides services to the offshore energy industry, both in renewables and oil and gas. The Opportunity
This position is a key role the Groups' Tax Department and will be responsible for the management and execution of tax compliance, reporting and advisory functions across the UK. The Tax Manager will also work with the Head of Tax on implementing improvements and initiatives including systems improvements, documenting tax processes and specific tax projects.

* Preparation of UK tax returns for UK group entities
* SAO reporting
* Preparation of consolidated tax provision for group audit
* Preparation of UK tax provisions for statutory accounts
* Coordination of the iXBRL tagging process includes managing the list of entities requiring tagged with external provider, in house testing of the iXBRL files
* Consideration and review of any applicable RD and Patent box claims across the group
* Integration of new companies in the group accessing HMRC portal, dealing with previous advisors etc
* Coordination of information from finance teams to external compliance provider
* Group Payment Arrangement set up and co-ordination
* Calculation of UK quarterly instalment payments
* Preparation of the Group management recharge calculation on a quarterly basis and including a year end true up exercise. May also include a separate exercise on the recharge of acquisition costs going forward
Background and experience

* Tax Qualifications (CIOT, ATT desirable)
* Experience in UK Corporate Tax
