Commissioning Engineer - Automotive - West Midlands - Permanent - Hybrid - £50-55k + Car/Car Allowance + Annual Bonus + Site Uplift/Overtime
Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Commissioning Engineer with proven experience in commissioning PLC and SCADA systems, ideally within the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities of the Commissioning Engineer:
1. Carry out software commissioning of existing PLC code and SCADA systems.
2. Build solutions from existing templates, developing new functionality for existing systems.
3. Strong system configuration and testing knowledge is essential; the client's systems are typically based on Siemens TIA Portal or Allen Bradley ControlLogix 5000.
4. Comfortable with travel and spending time on customer sites across the UK.
5. Experience with Siemens WinCC, Wonderware InTouch, or AVEVA System Platform is desirable.
6. Any knowledge of web-based technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, or CSS would be beneficial but is not essential.
7. Site work will involve delivering solutions during planned shutdown periods, such as over Easter and summer holidays.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal Commissioning Engineer will have an Electrical Engineering background, having progressed their skills through test and commissioning roles. This role will suit a Commissioning Engineer who is:
1. Comfortable interacting with customers on-site.
2. Flexible in their approach to work.
3. Able to perform effectively under pressure.
4. Self-motivated and proactive in problem-solving.
