We have an opportunity for a Regional Operations Supervisor to join our South Operations team to lead the team of drivers to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and safely.

The role will involve:
* Supervision of the drivers and operatives with regards to adhering to company policy and guidelines, allocation of duties and depot maintenance requirements
* Collecting and collating routing information from drivers and feeding back to Transport Planners to improve efficiency of routing
* Ensuring compliance with EU driver regulations, and Health and Safety compliance with company policy and procedures
* Ensuring that all drivers are appropriately trained and aware of all processes relating to their area of responsibility
* Ensuring all vehicles remain in good working order, are kept in good condition – reporting all damage to the Operations Manager and Fleet Management
* Supporting the Fleet Maintenance Manager in making sure vehicles are presented for service at the required times and liaising promptly in vehicle breakdowns to minimise costs
* Completing frequent checks and audits on both vehicles and drivers to maintain compliance
* Assisting with all legal requirements, including but not limited to, driver and vehicle Tachograph downloads, WTD and Driver’s hours
* Assisting drivers with ensuring that all relevant paperwork and data inputted into Company systems are accurate and complete
* Carrying out regular performance reviews, appraisals and One to Ones with direct reports
* Implementing working practices, processes and procedures to drive continuous improvements in cost and service
* Ensuring all information and communications required on a department and inter-department level are executed in a professional, timely and proactive manner, and that all escalation procedures are followed
* Dealing with Driver Infringements within an appropriate time frame
* Monitoring infringements, working towards a zero target
* Undertaking such other duties as may be reasonably expected at this level.
What we are looking for:
An honest and driven individual who has experience working in a similar role and has the following knowledge, skills and experience:
* CPC Management Qualification
* Holds a Class 1 Licence with less than 6 penalty points
* Possess a good understanding of current transport legislation
* Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
* Knowledge of the Working Time Directive
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to evolving situations
* Desire to seek continuous improvement.
