About the Role
We are seeking a Manager in our Transaction Services team to support the growth phase of an exciting new business line for Sedulo. We are seeking an individual that can play a major part in making Sedulo Transaction services the provider of choice for UK Private Equity houses and SMEs.
The Manager will be a critical team member to help execute client engagements. S/he will report into the Transaction Services Director and will be responsible for all aspects of producing analysis, report writing and liaising with target management and the client on financial due diligence assignments.

* Have the opportunity to work across the entire deal life cycle in a hands-on role, including buy-side, refinancing, and sell-side financial due diligence work (VA and VDD);

Role Objectives
The successful candidate will be required to:
* Lead the end-to-end fieldwork on multiple buy-side, refinancing, and sell-side (Vendor Assistance and Vendor Due Diligence) engagements, including leading scoping meetings, conducting the higher risk areas of financial analysis, and preparing due diligence reports;
* Network with relevant intermediaries including law firms, investment banks, strategy houses and the finance and investment community in general;
* Fully engage with the Sedulo Corporate Finance team on potential investment for the private equity and SME community. Ensure collaborative working between Corporate Finance and Transaction Services is the norm;
* Represent the firm regionally across London, Manchester, Liverpool, and Leeds to increase awareness of the Transaction Services offering and leveraging both internal and local external networks effectively;
* Training and development of the wider Transaction Services team, including coaching and mentoring of junior staff;
* Keep up to date with technical market developments and accounting standards as they apply to Transaction Services / financial due diligence;
* Assist the National Head of Transaction Services in a) building a CRM database of key private equity and SME clients b) develop a weighted pipeline tool, c) develop an efficient way of monitoring revenue, billing, and expenditure of all Transaction Services engagements; and
* Actively engage in Sedulo social event, business events and the Sedulo Foundation activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
* Experience in Transaction Services (financial due diligence) at a Big 4 / Top 10 firm is essential;
* A strong academic record and relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent);
* Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP;
* Excellent report writing and analytical skills;
* In-depth knowledge of Excel and manipulation/analysis of diverse data sets including ability to build financial models;
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of market drivers and competitive landscape;
* Strong financial acumen and ability to identify financial red flags through analyses of complex financial data;
* Self-confident and ability to deal directly with investment bankers, lenders, and PE investors;
* Self-starter and inquisitive;
* Team player;
* Strong relationship and team management skills;
* Strong communication skills both written and spoken; and
* Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively.
