We support patients with endocrinology problems, alongside diabetic complications. Alongside the diabetic nurses we support patients newly diagnosed with diabetes alongside other acute medical conditions. You will work alongside the medical doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, the patients and their relatives to ensure a safe and effective discharge for our patients. Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities As a staff nurse on G5 you are responsible to the Junior sisters and Senior sister. Your main duties on the ward Admit and discharge patients safely To implement and be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care. To act in accordance with policies and nursing procedures as per Trust policy. To co-ordinate the team/ward in absence of the team leader or ward manager. To ensure confidentiality of patient records and high standards of nursing documentation. To be aware of the complaints procedure and be able to apply it as needed. To escalate as appropriate any untoward incidents, complaints and ward/staff issues. To participate in ongoing clinical supervision. To promote good working relationships and to support the ward manager to achieve high morale within the team.
