The opportunity: Valcon UK is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join our growing IT Architecture capability group within our Technology Practice.

We are looking for Consultants with the following skill sets:
1. Extensive experience in applying architectural principles to business solutions and working at a senior level taking a holistic view of a business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
2. Work within or across one of the architectural domains; Business, Application, Data and Technology.
3. Have experience working on complex digital transformation programmes.
4. Ability to recognise structural issues within an organisation, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies.
5. The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected artefacts and articulate their collective relevance to the organisation and to high-priority business issues.
6. Experience in visualising and creating high-level business architecture models.
7. Experience of developing business Target Operating Models (Process, Organisation, Technology, Information).
8. Experience of business capability analysis and the ability to overlay different views to articulate levels of risk and performance.
9. Experience modelling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques.
10. Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
1. Formulate enterprise architecture solutions for our clients and provide architectural leadership.
2. Build relationships with client stakeholders and key business subject matter experts to understand existing business landscape and strategic business priorities.
3. Capture tactical and strategic business goals that provide traceability through to metrics that provide ongoing governance.
4. Develop an enterprise architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
5. Apply a structured enterprise architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of an enterprise.
6. Translate business strategic requirements into enterprise architecture solutions which align with industry best practice and understand the implications of change on people, process, information and technologies.
7. Define strategic core business and support processes that transcend functional and organisational boundaries.
8. Identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which resources (people, technology, data) and controls are involved in the processes.
9. Identify and assess the business aspects of solution options such as effort, risk, costs and complexity.
10. Serve as a liaison between business and technology representatives in supporting and leading solution conversations for our clients.
11. Advise on the governance structure required for the implementation of business architecture and ongoing maintenance in a business as usual environment.
12. Provide mentorship and guidance to others in enterprise architecture, design and analysis.
