Role: Pharmacy Technician
Banding: Band 5
Location: Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: To be confirmed (ongoing for at least the next few months, dependent on service needs)
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday (full-time, 5 days per week), May be required to work an occasional Saturday.
Shift Pattern: 08:30 to 16:30 or 10:00 to 18:00 (pro rota)
Rate: Day: £19 – £22 per hour
About the role:
The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Manchester. This role is ideal for someone with hospital pharmacy experience, though we are open to considering candidates with other relevant experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting.
2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
3. Perform clinical duties as required, including patient assessments and administering treatments.
4. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
5. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with best practices in healthcare.
Qualifications and Experience:
6. Essential:
7. GPhC registered.
8. Up-to-date knowledge of safe systems of working in Pharmacy.
9. Hospital experience is essential
10. ACT (Accredited Checking Technician) preferred
11. Desirable: Proficiency in weighing, measuring, compounding, and medicine manufacturing.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to dispense medicines accurately.Standard keyboard skills for using the Pharmacy computer system and other software.Knowledge of pharmaceutical procurement.Excellent customer care skills.Current understanding of issues facing Pharmacy technical services within the NHS.
