We are looking for an experienced Logistics professional for an initial 6 month period (fixed term contract) to come and give key support to a leading food manufacturing business. Following a review by an external consultant of the outbound logistics function, we need key support to implement the findings of this review, primarily including the development and management of the relationship with the 3PL and other service providers. Some of the key deliverables will include: Developing an action plan for the execution of the strategy - with clear deliverables and both internal and external stakeholders clearly communicated with. Leading review meetings with the 3PL management team, tracking SLAs and KPIs, to assess progress. Putting in place and implementation of KPIs with planning and reviewing of these on a weekly basis. Project management of implementation process. Supporting the internal team who look after stock control, export, order capture, processing and fulfilment. We are looking for someone with experience of: Logistics management within an FMCG environment (food manufacturing preferred) Strong understanding of logistics operations, data usage and best practices Strong experience of managing 3PL providers and customer distribution (ideally into food retailers) High degree of computer literacy, working with ERP systems, BI, WMS systems and Microsoft Packages Experience of leading CI or performance improvement projects in FMCG logistics For more information, please get in contact with Daniel Bowes at Radar Recruitment.
