Buyer / Cost Reduction Project Planner

£33.00 ph FCSA Umbrella (this role is deemed inside IR35), £24.00 paye – Hybrid working available (3 days pw in Peterborough Office)
Min 12 month contract, although potentially may extend.

Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Hourly Rate: £33.00 FCSA Umbrella, £24.00 paye
Some hybrid working available; you will need to be on-site at least 3 days each week when necessary.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Point of contact for the procurement team, managing procurement dependencies across the manufacturing facility.
* Previous experience of delivering cost reduction projects within an engineering manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.
* Create procurement strategies, communicating clear cost, time, and quality deliverables to key stakeholders.
* Supplier nomination, ensuring robust evaluation of supplier capacity and capability.
* Management reporting to evidence performance against key targets.
* Weekly reporting on outsourcing KPIs.
* Contract negotiation and agreeing T&Cs as per Standard T&Cs procedure.
* Strong MS Project (or similar), project ownership & Excel skills for data interpretation.
* Managing risks and opportunities registers.
* To plan and present plan gateways as per the internal procedure.
* CIPS preferred or currently studying for CIPS.
