One to One Learning Assistant - Clevedon
We are recruiting for a One to One Learning Assistant for a secondary school based in Clevedon that caters for students between the ages of 11 and 18 who have a primary diagnosis of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, which impacts the way they learn, communicate and process emotions.
Salary: £83.33 - £96.15 per day, DOA - including holiday pay
Start Date: ASAP
Term: Term Time Only
Experience: Excellent experience for graduates; previous experience with children is not necessary, but personality is important!
The school is looking for someone to support students in the classroom, ensuring they can access their learning in ways that are beneficial to them. Your role will involve engaging with them and ensuring they receive a good blend of education and interventions.
Each child has special interventions in place to support their emotions and well-being while ensuring they cope with their education.
The school is looking for a One to One Learning Assistant who is passionate about supporting learning difficulties and mental health needs. They want someone to build positive relationships with the students, creating a safe and engaging environment where learning can flourish.
Responsibilities as a One to One Learning Assistant:
1. Foster positive relationships with students, promoting trust and emotional safety
2. Help students identify and express their emotions in a healthy manner
3. Assist with classroom activities, ensuring students are engaged and participating
4. Provide feedback to teachers and parents
5. Work directly with students to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
