Job summary Liverpool Women's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (LWHFT) is looking for a dynamic and inspiring Obstetric Physician to join our existing team to enhance services within the Cheshire and Mersey Maternal Medicine Centre hosted at LWHFT and to support care with our partner NHS Providers across the region. It is expected that the successful applicant will be primarily employed as a Consultant Physician within the University Hospitals of Liverpool Group (i.e. Liverpool University Hospitals, Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Walton Centre or Clatterbridge Cancer Centre) with Obstetric Physician Sessions at Liverpool Women's supported via a service level agreement. Main duties of the job The job plan will be negotiated following successful appointment to the post, but would include maternal medicine antenatal clinics, scheduled physician wards rounds at LWH, a preconceptual counselling clinic, participation in a virtual ward rounds and organisation and participation in the weekly maternal medicine MDT. The standard job plan within LWH consists of 6 PAs including time for supporting professional activities. This post will be in addition to the regular consultant physician sessions in an appropriate medical speciality undertaken within the consultants primary employing trust within UHLG (i.e. LUHFT, LHCH, Walton, Clatterbridge). It is a requirement of this post that there is ongoing maintenance of the successful candidates skills and expertise specific to their primary medical speciality.
