An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team at Salway Ash C of E VA Primary School We are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant who can inspire and motivate our learners with high expectations and a desire to enable pupils to flourish. This is a fixed term position until 31 August 2025. 4 hours per day, 20 hours per week, term time only, including INSET days, 39 weeks. The successful candidate will be responsible for working supporting learning in the classroom, with SEN children. Providing sensory and/or emotional regulating breaks and for the most part, this will be delivered on a 1 to 1 basis within the classroom. You will work with teachers /SENCO to promote individual pupils’ academic, social and emotional development through the provision of a stable, caring and supportive learning environment; to enable the pupil(s) to achieve their full learning potential and facilitate their personal, academic, social and moral development. Keeping Children Safe in Education The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
