Personal Assistant (PA) - Part time (18.5 hours per week) We are looking for a part-time Personal Assistant (PA) to work as a member of the PA team which provides high-quality executive secretarial, administrative and personal support to the Council’s Directors. This is a part-time role for 18.5 hours per week - equivalent to 2.5 days per week. Discussions will take place with applicants during the recruitment process to agree a work pattern which suits both the Council and the candidate. About the role As a PA, you will support Directors to maximise the effective and efficient use of their time on a daily basis, as they work to progress the priorities of the Council and the communities we serve. Key tasks will include planning and scheduling meetings and events; preparing agendas; taking and sharing minutes and action notes; co-ordinating travel arrangements; ensuring Directors receive briefings and information in a timely manner; and helping to manage Directors’ inboxes so that emails are clearly filed, tracked, and responded to appropriately and efficiently. Broader tasks may also be requested as any urgent issues arise. As well as working closely with Directors, you will work collaboratively with colleagues within the PA service - positively supporting each other to overcome any challenges, sharing learning and ideas, and helping each other to meet the collective needs of the senior leadership team as a whole. This is an agile post, which means you will primarily work from a home base, but will also work from Council offices - including Ellesmere Port and, on occasion, the wider borough - as required.
